To supply the best quality food available. The procurement of local food products from Cumbria and outlying counties. Delivered with finesse.

Lakes Speciality Foods is a new business created to enhance the food chain by working very closely with producers that are passionate about pure (quality) foods. High calibre products will be procured throughout Cumbria, the North West and other areas.

Working closely with small local producers, history of the foods can be explored and passed onto the customer in a variety of innovative ways, such as exhibitions, PowerPoint presentations and traceable documentation.

Only foods with distinction will be sourced and offered for sale ensuring traceability and customer satisfaction that the foods offered are of the highest excellence.

In return the customer will acknowledge and enjoy working with us returning to seasonal availability of produce. Thus retaining and offering variance in eating foods, when in season, at different times of the year.

The corporate image stands out as a contemporary brand that is not just about buying and selling. The supply and delivery of foods is one of quality, passion and distinction. The company is closely involved with its suppliers and customers and linking between both produces gratification and pleasure to all.

Our aim is to deliver throughout the UK with finesse. Thus developing speciality produce that is unique to Lakes Speciality Foods. Working alongside a number of talented people will enable us to develop foods that will be sought after by many. Food will be conveyed to our customers in the way they want it delivered.

Quality Foods

The main products that we will be offering are as follows: -

1. Quality British Beef. Lakes Speciality Foods only sources it's beef from reputable UK producers who meet their strict specification criteria. We are proud that we do not use imported beef which may not be of such quality.

2. Fine Game products hand selected from dealers who supply game at its best when in season. We also have the back up facility of being able to supply quality game all year round. Wild boar is procured from within the UK all year round.

3. Rare Breed ,Traditional & Cumbrian Pork / Bacon. Breeds such as Gloucester Old Spot, Saddleback and Hampshire pork pigs farmed locally and reared in natural conditions are available to our customers. Iron Age pigs, Durocs, Berkshires are also sourced direct from Farms within the region when available.

From our locally sourced Pigs we cure the following products on weekly basis-

• Pancetta
• Dry cured plain and Smoked Back Bacon
• Sweet Cured and Smoked Gammon Joints

4. Poultry. This is procured on customers request and our networking enables customers to enjoy a variety of different breeds that uplift the description read on the menu. We also procure specialist poultry fresh to order.

5. Sausages & Burgers. Currently we at Lakes Speciality Foods have developed a specialist sausage range and at present there are 20 + different types of Sausage on offer. Old favourites such as Cumberland and pork sausage combined with new lines such as wild boar and plum. All products are made out of fully traceable breeds of animals, made fresh each day to order – Thick, thin, long or linked.

6. Veal. All cuts of fresh selected veal are available.

7. Cheese. We are now able to supply a complete range of Cumbria, British and European cheeses. With over 200 cheeses listed - please ask for further details.

We aim to supply prestigious establishments that work with quality and value the end product. The hassle and time consuming task of sourcing is taken out of our customers daily lives as we procure and ensure standards of all products are maintained every time. All our customers are offered traceable products with a history that ensures the quality of foods consumed are genuine.

Working alongside chefs we are able to bring back seasonality into the restaurant menus and offer the finest foods at the best prices.
